Terms of use
Last updated 22 October 2026
By using Billi you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.
What Billi is
Billi helps you track shared expenses and your own spending. It is not a bank, wallet or payment service and never holds or transfers money. When you choose to pay through UPI, Billi opens your own UPI app; the payment is between you, your bank and the person you pay.
Your responsibilities
- Use your own WhatsApp number and keep your phone secure.
- Only add people you actually share expenses with, and only send reminders to people who owe you.
- Check amounts before saving — AI bill scanning can make mistakes, and you can edit every line.
- Don't use Billi for anything illegal, abusive or to harass anyone.
Limits
Billi applies fair-use limits (for example, monthly bill scans and weekly WhatsApp reminders). The current limits are shown in the app.
Accuracy
Balances are calculated from what you and your friends record. We work hard to get the maths exactly right, but Billi is provided “as is” and we are not liable for disputes between friends or for losses arising from amounts entered.
Accounts
We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can delete your account at any time from the app or our website.
Price
Billi is currently free. If that changes, we'll tell you in the app before you're asked to pay for anything.
